TOSHIBA EXCITE AT200 ANDROID TABLET COMING SOON

Toshiba is getting ready to launch yet another Android tablet. The new Toshiba Excite AT200 will have a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixels display, just like the Thrive tablet. The Excite tablet, on the other hand, is thinner and lighter. It measures just 0.3 inches in thickness. While the Thrive has a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, the Excite will feature a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual core processor.

SAMSUNG COULD LAUNCH AN 11.6 INCH TABLET WITH A 2560 X 1600 PIXELS DISPLAY

Word on the street is that Samsung is planning to launch an 11.6 inch tablet with a whopping 2560 x 1600 pixels density. If it is indeed true, then this tablet will have a pixel density comparable to the Retina display found on the new iPhone.

Toshiba has launched a 7 inch version of its Thrive tablet. The tablet is available at some lesser-known retailers like eCost and Applies Computer. LENOVO LAUNCHES THINKPAD X130E RUGGED NOTEBOOK FOR STUDENT

Lenovo has launched a new Thinkpad notebook. The Lenovo ThinkPad X130e is aimed at students. Needless to say, it sports a rugged case with design elements such as recessed and reinforced ports, strong hinges and a rubber bumper on the top cover.

LG INTRODUCES XNOTE Z330 ULTRABOOK IN SOUTH KOREA

LG is the latest PC maker to throw its hat in the ultrabook ring. The company has just unveiled an ultrabook called LG Xnote Z330. The 13.3 incher will be available with a choice of Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. The Xnote Z330 has a small screen bezel which means that it isn’t much larger than a 12 inch notebook.

The Asus K53E-BBR4 has had a major price drop. The 15.6 incher has an Intel Core i5-2430M Sandy Bridge processor. That Core i5-processor is the kind you would find in mainstream laptops running $700 or above. But the K53E is now available for just $450.

Chip designer MIPS has announced a $100 tablet with Android 4.0 operating system. Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich is the first version of Android optimized for both tablets and phones.

APPLE FAILS TO BAN SAMSUNG FROM SELLING ITS GALAXY TAB 10.1 TABLET

Samsung can continue selling its Galaxy line of smartphones and Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android tablet in the US. Apple had filed a law suit against the Korean company alleging that some of its smartphones and latest tablets infringe on their copyright. While Apple managed to obtain a preliminary injunction against Samsung in Germany, in the US a federal court denied a request for a similar ban.
