The Asus Zenbook UX31 is now available in many parts of the world. This is the first Ultrabook from Asus and sports a tapered design. The laptop tapers to a mere 3mm at its thinnest point.

Although Intel unveiled its Cedar Trail Atom chips this summer, none of the netbooks currently shipping sport this processor. Word is that the new processors have some problems with their graphics drivers. Intel is expected to launch the repaired chips in December. That means Cedar Trail netbooks are unlikely to hit the market in time for the holiday shopping season.

VERIZON TO OFFER MOTOROLA XOOM 2 AND XOOM 2 MEDIA EDITION TABLETS

Motorola is yet to put an official price tag on its Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition tablets, but it looks like the folks at Droid Life have some info on Verizon’s prices for the tablet. The models that Verizon will carry have 3G or 4G radios. The carrier will subsidize them if you sign up for a 2 year service contract.
