The 14 inch Lenovo Ideapad U400 thin and light laptop is now available for purchase in the US. The laptop has a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-2430M processor, ATI Radeon HD6470M discrete graphics and a slot-loading DVD burner. The IdeaPad U400 has an aluminum case. It measures 0.9 inches in thickness and weighs 4.4 pounds. The 14 inch display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

Samsung will start taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus on October 23rd. The tablet will start shipping in the US on November 13th.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Models with more storage should also be available. The tablet runs Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.

Velocity Micro has added two new tablets to its lineup. The company is already known for its line of low cost Android tablets. The new models are called Velocity Micro T408 and T410.
