LENOVO ANNOUNCES THINKPAD EDGE LAPTOP LINEUP FOR 2012

Lenovo has formally unveiled its ThinkPad Edge laptop lineup for year 2012. The newest additions to the Edge family include two new laptop models with 11.6 inch displays. There are several larger models too.

One of them – the ThinkPad Edge E130 – has an Intel Core i-series processor. The other model – the ThinkPad Edge E135 – has an AMD Vision processor. It looks like neither will be available

INTEL OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES CEDAR TRAIL ATOM PROCESSORS

Intel has officially introduced its new Cedar Trail processors for netbooks. We have already heard about two of them – the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N2600 and 1.86GHz Intel Atom N2800.

The other processors built on the platform include the Atom N2650 and the Atom N2850. The Atom N2650 is a dual core processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz. It has a TDP of 3.6 watts. The Atom N2850 is a 2GHz processor

LG ANNOUNCES Z330 AND Z430 ULTRABOOKS

LG is the latest company to throw its hat in the ultrabook ring. The company will showcase two new ultrabooks at the Consumer Electronic Show next week. Of these, the LG Z330 has a 13.3 inch display while the LG Z430 sports a 14 inch panel.

Both models will be available with a choice of Intel Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processor and Intel GMA 3000 HD graphics. The operating system on board is

TOSHIBA TO LAUNCH NB510 NETBOOK WITH CEDAR TRAIL ATOM PROCESSOR

Now that Intel has officially launched its Cedar Trail platform more and more PC makers have started announcing netbooks sporting the shiny new processors. Toshiba is the latest company to launch a line of 10 inch netbooks powered by Intel’s third generation Cedar Trail chips.

Gadmei has just launched a tablet with a 3D display. The Gadmei T863-3D is an Android tablet with an 8 inch 3D display.

The most attractive thing about the Gadmei T863 tablet is its price: it runs just $199. Devices with 3D displays aren’t exactly cheap even though there isn’t a lot of 3D content available for your viewing pleasure. But for prices as low as $200, they aren’t a bad deal at all.

VELOCITY MICRO LAUNCHES CRUZ T507 AND T510 ANDROID TABLETS

Velocity Micro has been making affordable Android tablets for a while. Although they aren’t exactly top-of-the-line, they do offer decent performance. And now the company is launching two new tablets which have better hardware and software than the previous models.


While the existing versions of Velocity Micro tablets ship with Android 2.3 or an earlier version, the new models have Android 4.0
