MOTOROLA SHIPPED A MILLION TABLETS IN 2011

Consumers across the world bought nearly 10.5 million Android tablets in 2011. It looks like a million of them were shipped by Motorola. The company reported its quarterly earnings yesterday and said that it shipped 200,000 tablets during the last quarter of 2011. It shipped close to a million tablets during the entire year.

The Archos 101 G9 tablet has started shipping in France. It is available in several different configurations. The base model has a 1GHz TI OMAP 4 dual core processor. Higher-end configurations have 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz processors.


As you can probably imagine, the 1.5Ghz model is faster than the 1GHz model. The Archos 101 G9 is one of the first devices to ship with the 1.5Ghz TI OMAP 4460 processor
