HP PAVILION NOTEBOOKS WITH INTEL IVY BRIDGE PROCESSORS SPOTTED

The first batch of HP Pavilion laptops sporting Intel’s third generation Core i-series Ivy Bridge processors has been spotted. The new models include the Pavilion dv6 and the Pavilion dv7. They have 15.6 inch and 17.3 inch displays respectively.

The HP Mini 210 has been updated with Intel’s third generation Cedar Trail Atom processors. The Mini 210 is now available with a choice of the 1.6Ghz Intel Atom N2600 or the 1.86GHz Intel Atom N2800 processor.

The HP Envy Spectre is an expensive 14 inch laptop with excessive glass finishing. It has scratch resistant Gorilla glass covering its lid and palm rest area as well as its display. The laptop has regular ultrabook internals, but it starts at $1400. And now word is that HP is working on a 15 inch model as well. It is not exactly clear whether this model will be available in all parts of the globe

HP ENVY 14 SPECTRE NOW SHIPPING FOR $1400 AND UP

With Corning’s sturdy, scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass covering its lid as well as its display, the HP Envy 14 Spectre is a winner in the looks department. The notebook has also got a glass touchpad and a glass plam rest area.

All that glass finishing, however, makes the laptop a little heavier than most ultabooks. The 14 incher weighs about 3.9 pounds and measures 0.8 inches in thickness.


HP PLANS TO UPDATE ITS CONSUMER NETBOOKS WITH CEDAR TRAIL PROCESSORS

HP plans to update its consumer-oriented netbooks with Intel’s Cedar Trail processors. The company recently introduced a business netbook with the Intel Atom N2600 Cedar Trail processor.

The existing HP netbooks which are expected to get Cedar Trail update include the HP Mini 110 and HP Mini 210. A certain French retailer has already started listing them with Intel’s third generation Cedar

HP LAUNCHES MINI 110-4100 CEDAR TRAIL NETBOOK FOR STUDENTS

HP has made a new addition to its netbook line-up. The HP Mini 110-4100 is aimed at businesses and students. It has a 1.6GHz N2600 dual core Cedar Trail processor with Intel GMA 3600 graphics. The 10.1 inch display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.


HP says that its Mini 110-4100 aka Mini 1104 is a full-function notebook. That Cedar Trail processor, however, is meant for use in netbooks.

HP FOLIO 13 REVIEW

The HP Folio 13 is temptingly priced. The 13 inch ultrabook starts at just $900 and has got a 128Gb SSD, a Core i5 processor, backlit keyboard and HDMI output port. HP is launching a new version of its budget-friendly thin and light laptop called Pavilion dm1. The new models are expected to start shipping on September 21st for a starting price of $399.

The HP Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr will be first netbook on Verizon's 4G LTE mobile broadband network. The carrier will start offering the machine on August 4th. The Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr is basically the same as the HP Mini 110 introduced last year. The only main difference between the two models is that the former has 4G radio, which the latter lacks.

HP has launched a new cheap business laptop with AMD processors. The new HP 635 is a 15.6 incher with AMD's Zacate E-350 dual core processor and Radeon HD 6310M graphics. Other configurations with a 2.3GHz AMD Phenom II P360 or a 2.6GHz AMD Phenom P650 dual core processor and Radeon HD 4250 graphics is also available.
