Acer is keen on making its presence felt in the Ultrabook space. The company is all set to launch not one, but two ultrabooks in the coming months. We have already seen some hands on photos of the 13 inch model. And now more details have arrived.

Samsung has introduced a new laptop that packs a 14 inch display into a 13 inch chassis. The new Samsung Series 7 notebooks have brushed aluminum finishes and Intel Core i5 or i7 processor options.

SAMSUNG SERIES 5 CHROMEBOOK PRICES DROP

The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook has got a price drop. The laptop launched in June for a starting price of $429. The WiFi only version is now available from Amazon for $399. The 3G-enabled model runs $449. At launch it had a price tag of $499. It is not clear whether the new prices are here to stay.

Sharp has launched a new 7 inch Galapagos tablet in Japan. The new Sharp Galapagos A01SH runs a customized version of the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system. It has a dual core
NVidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. The 7.7 inch display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels.

FUJITSU UNVEILS ARROWS TAB F-01D RUGGED TABLET

Plenty of Android tablets with similar specs are available in the market at the moment, but Fujitsu wants to make its offering a little different. The company's Arrows Tab F-01D is kind of rugged. It has a water proof and ruggedized case. That means it will be able to survive some light rain and minor drops.

ASUS WORKING ON FIVE OR MORE ULTRABOOKS

Asus, we have heard, will launch 5 or more ultrabooks in October. An ultrabook is a portable laptop that doesn't weigh much more than a netbook while at the same time packing a powerful processor and a larger display.
