At that price point it costs just as much as the Amazon Kindle.

The 14 inch Lenovo Ideapad U400 thin and light laptop is now available for purchase in the US. The laptop has a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-2430M processor, ATI Radeon HD6470M discrete graphics and a slot-loading DVD burner. The IdeaPad U400 has an aluminum case. It measures 0.9 inches in thickness and weighs 4.4 pounds. The 14 inch display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

Samsung will start taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus on October 23rd. The tablet will start shipping in the US on November 13th.
